My Lil' Monsters

Οι Κυρίες Διδυμούλες
An example of Little Men & Little Miss is this sweet photo that shows the yellow, round twins with the blue bowknot on their heads! The reason why I wasn't so obsessed with these series (although I have way more comic books of them than those of Little Monsters) is because they never reminded me of actual human beings! The stories were good and all, they passed good, valuable messages and were nice to be read from a young kid, but you couldn't identify with the characters much! How could you, with a yellow ball that just happens to have hands and legs (along with eyes, nose, mouth and some accesories)?

So, that's the reason why I love so much Little Monsters! They are sooo sweet, kid-like characters that do silly stuff! It's like making your own imaginative class that contains so different, but so the same, after all, kids!
As I've already noted my fave character is Amelia [and, I mean her greek-edition name], but since I couldn't find on Goodreads (or, anywhere else, for that matter) any photo of hers, I present to you Margot Lina! My second favorite! Her Greek name is Lina Draculina, which is quite appropriate as she resembles Dracula or a huge fan of his!

Generally, I have to admit, while usually I don't like the greek translations of foreign books (come on, you have to admit that a translator hasn't the same spirit of the plot, the characters, the book, like the author him/herself. It lacks something very important for every good piece of work!), Modern Times (the Editions that published Little Monsters and Mr.Men & Little Miss here in Greece) did an extraordianry job! The names of the books, and of the characters are just perfect and far more creative than those of the english editions! They rhyme, actually, in the case of the lil'monsters [e.g. Lina i Draculina, Amelia i Telia, Minoas o Iroas, etc etc]. Quite cool!

New additions on Goodreads

Not only in the site generally, but also in my read books!
But let's get it one-by-one!
I found some cute little comics I used to read when I was young!
So sweet!
Pandora & Plato are from greek editions, so they weren't actually on GR...
So, I added those 2 books!

Discovering the box with my little comics, also meant that I came face-to-face with some other comic series I've liked as a child! Some examples are Smurfs (although, I obtain only one of those, as I never really liked these little blue beings -especially the show, bleh!- ), Mr Men & Little Miss (which is a bit of a racistic title, in my opinion, but thanfully the greek editions are named a little differently, naming all the characters Misters and Madames -something I also noted for the french editions- ), and last but not least my beloved Little Monsters! Oh Gosh! These are still my faves! I like, nope, love them so much! Amelia is my fave character! I also noted that the greek lil'monsters have different names in the english editions! BLAH! I don't care! These sweet lil'kiddies will always have their greek names in my mind and heart (and soul, and blah blah blah... You get my point!)

Συννεφούλα, συννεφούλα

It's cloudy today! Not all day long! There are just many clouds! And for an hour or so it's really cloudy! No sun has come out for awhile! No prob for me, of course :D
I admit, I have an uncanny 7nth (o.0') sense when it comes to cloudy days!
Whenever the sun is slightly covered, I can tell the difference instantly (or it could just be the sense of sight, generally...)

Anyway!
It was supposed to rain today in Crete... I'm wondering what happened!
I wish it rained here, too! Ooooh, I've missed rain so much! So so so much!
I've double missed it, as Georgia Nicolson says ;D I got onsessed with the book?? :O

Well well well. I have to admit (I say that an awful lot today :p) that I don't really like that song. It reminds me of my junior high school experiences which contain of a crazy hippie teacher learning [scratch that! TRYING to learn] us how to play the flute! I'm sooo hopeless when it comes to playing mucis -- or doing anything artistic, for that matter!

I'm not an artistic person, so? Sue me!

Angus, Thongs and Full-frontal Snogging

Wow! I've never actually laughed out loud while reading a book!
Before, that is...

This one not oly made me laugh but it was also an amazing experience, well-written, and totally given by the perspective of a 14-year-old teenage girl, facing the changes in her self, the difficulties on her relationships, either with girls or boys, but from a funny side of view!

I totally enjoyed it and would not hesitate to recommend it to everyone in need of a good laugh!

New Beastly Movie Trailer - Official

Oh.My.Goodness!

Is it just me or is Alex Pettyfer way better like that??
In his Beastly form, I mean!

Gosh, just like I prefer Johnny Depp in his Pirate form! Wow...

I can't stop watching the trailer, by the way! I'll love that movie!
Just like my cousin liked the book very much!

Oh, by the way, I'm planning to read the book before I watch the movie!
Movies cut so many good scenes from the books... :( Usually, at least!

I'm searching for more books that've been made to movies! Wish me luck! :D

Home Sweet Home? And back out the door.

Yesterday we were travelling!
As soon as we hit the Greek familiar roads after a somewhat-more-than-6-hour trip I felt a wave of nostalgia surge through me. A month of holidays was capable of doing that. What would a furthered absence make to me?
But, I'll return to that later!

At last, I'm home!
Back home! I missed it! And just realized that after so much time passed reading while I were on holidays, now I'm kind of tired... Or maybe that's probably the book's I'm trying to finish right now, fault.

Anyway!
My holidays were good! I haven't even be able to unpack yet...
Too lazy, too tired since I'm up from 8 o'clock, in the morning... :/
And I'm aching for TV! I'm longing to watch something -- anything! Even a silly, according to some, TV series, or a bad-boy movie, I would never think I could want so much to watch before!
And although now I have some quality internet connection, I can't find a proper way to use it... :O
That's probably because I had even less than 12 hours to make up my mind, relax and just enjoy being back home!

The ship arrived almost at 8 thirty yesterday evening in Pireus, but we got stuck in the garage so we finally got out around 9.
So, we were back home pretty late, as you can probably guess.
And, today at 7:58am I was awaken by an anxious mother who wanted to know the results before even having woken up properly!

So, at around 8, and after a less-than-7-hour sleep I learned that no sooner than I came back home, I have to go back where I came from, to look for a new house, get settled with new (or not) furnitures and my clothes and objects, learn some more about the city, the transport, the buildings, and even housekeeping...
And, the reason?

I passed on the University of Crete!

From September I'll be heading back to Crete, where I also spent my holidays up 'till something less than 30 hours ago! Ooof, so tiring...

But, everything happens for a reason! SO! We look up, see the advantages!
And, there are plenty ;D

Books made into movies

I'm actually posting this, so that I can watch it when I'll be back home!
I can't hear a thing! I have my speakers (both my laptop AND YouTube's) on full volume, but I just miss so many things! I can actually listen when cars stop passing by, or when nobody talks. Both of these circumstances are extremely rare here, so as you probably understand I'm pissed -.-

I've had a couple "rough" weeks, both physically and emotionally, so I don't think I'll be posting any time soon!

*Drools while day-dreaming about BLOODLINES and VAMPIRE ACADEMY/THE GRAPHIC NOVEL coming out* (They were published on 23th August *dreamy eyes*)

Back back to Marked, now! :D

Succubus Dreams

Oh Goodness!

Richelle Mead has the ability to pass right through me all the emotions the heroine experiences!
Oh that heartache was unbearable! And it didn't get away once I finished reading the book!
Wow, that was magnificent!

I've always liked this particular type of writing. Actually that's proved because every single piece of work Richelle Mead's written is stocked to my favorites!
She makes it so easy to identify with the heroine!

And to love the heroes! Or, most of them anyway!
I have to admit that although in the Vampire Academy series my fave hero is Dimitri, which is the main love interest of the heroine, that doesn't really happen with the Georgina Kincaid series!
Here, I love Carter! He's an angel, afterall! ;)
But I rather prefer him, although he's not including in the range of Georgina's love interests!

But, well, my heartache is still sore, so I better get started reading the next book, or I'll start screaming or something!

Keep up the great work!!!

[My review posted in Goodreads ~ after I rated with 5 stars! <3 ]

BTH - Last Christmas

I just listened to it today and I loved it!
Actually I love every version of "Last Christmas" and more than any the original!

So, we might still have a lot of months 'till Christmas, I might not even have the slightest idea where I'll be 'till December (or 'till October, for that matter), but I just have to post this song!

Let's all sing along "Last Christmas, I gave you my heart, but the very next day, you gave it away! This year, to save me from tears, I'll give it to someone special, special, Wooo-oo..."

*Dreamy voice* I love that song! *w*

The Exorcism Of Emily Rose

Ahaha!
I just realized that in the poll there (=>) I've put 2 names I like, Emily and Rosalia!
And, I want to give birth to twins!
So, the names I'm gonna give them are Emily, to the first to be born, and Rose to the next!
Bwahahahahaha!
I will call them for food : "Emily, Rose!" Like Emily Rose, the 19-year-old college student that were exorcised!
Bwahahaha! Macabre... :D

Winter on... August

Some droplets of rain dropped a little while ago! AWSOME!
Although, a bit strange for summer!
Now I have full Internet connection, but I'm not gonna go outside. It might begin raining all of a sudden! I wouldn't want my fave laptop ~ Godric ~ to get soaked! :/
Hehe!
I'm also exchanging tweets with my cousins, while we're apart only 2 floors!
Hehehe!
It's still cloudy! Wiii! <3

Tweet on holidays!

Photos to come soon, because right now I'm sitting in a strange position trying to avoid a sun burn while fighting for a little internet connection!

Anyway, I have my almost typical but nonetheless perfect holidays!
I'm also going out with my cousins, something I never fail to enjoy!
Some cousin-bonding this summer I had!

Today the sun has many clouds, although in the majority it's a sunny day! Something I don't really like! But, you know! When you go to the sea you usually want to sunbathe! And I have to admit that although I loooove cloudy days, it's not somkething I'm actually used to when I'm swimming! But I'm sure that even today we'll have some clouds, tomorrow willn be as sunny as ever! So, I'm determined to enjoy it while it lasts!

The thing is, every time I come here I get semi-addicted in something! Always different every year! Last year it was Second Life, this year it is Twitter!
Well, not bad, 'cause I had forgotten my poor Twit-account, but it's scary! The way I'm influenced!

Anyway I'm gonna go back inside now, 'cause I started sweating... Pfff...

And insects... -.-

I'm going to go start getting ready for my outing with the cousins! :D

Enjoy the Succubus Blues trailer I found! :)
