Hmm, Gryffindor?

I found another sorting quiz today.
Go to http://interactive.mugglenet.com/mni/index.php?action=sort and answer the 20 questions, too, if you'd like.

By Gryffindor, the bravest were
Prized far beyond the rest;
For Ravenclaw, the cleverest
would always be the best;
For Hufflepuff, hard workers were
Most worthy of admission;
And power-hungry Slytherin
loved those of great ambition.

Congratulations! You are most like Arthur and you belong in Gryffindor.
You may now proceed to the Gryffindor common room, where you can participate in games and discussions with your fellow Housemates. Participate in the House Cup Competition to earn points for your House and help Gryffindor win the House Cup!

Go Hufflepuff

Well, as I've mentioned multiple times, I'm a totally proud Slytherin.
I don't know if I'm cunning or if I have every single aspect that stereotypically is given to every Slytherin, but I certainly have othercharacteristics that are totally Slytherin-like.
Anyway, I sorted my parents two, or, three, days ago and my Dad is also a Slytherin, while my Mum is a Hufflepuff. Hehe, I found it cool.

Anyway, even if my mum wasn't sorted into this house, I would encourage Puffs to get more points on Pottermore, and as you can realize I'm extremely excited about the "fight" going on for the second place right now.

Slytherin is first with almost 3,7 million points.

And, suddenly three days ago, or so, Hufflepuff started getting so many points they took the second place! They were in that position for two days, when a frustrated Ravenclaw decided they had been left too far behind for too long. So, an extreme fighting begun, with Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff competing for the second place, and Gryffindor being left fourth.

So, right now the points for the rest of the three houses are approximately like this:

Ravenclaw is second with 3,58 million points.
Hufflepuff third with 3,57 million points.
And, Gryffindor last with 3,56 million points.

Let's see what the ranking will be in a bit.
They change by the minute.
It's extremely interesting to watch! As a Slytherin, of course!

Slytherin is the Inaugural Winner!

Pottermore transformed the Great Hall in honor of the announcement of the Pottermore House Cup winner, Slytherin.

Just as the clock passed 9:07am this morning in London, Pottermore announced the winner of its inaugural House Cup competition.
And the winner is… Slytherin!

FINAL STANDINGS:

1st Place: Slytherin - 74,290,864 points
2nd Place: Gryffindor - 74,069,919 points
3rd Place: Ravenclaw - 71,815,917 points
4th Place: Hufflepuff - 62,596,368 points

When Pottermore announced the Pottermore House Cup competition a few weeks ago, users new and old came back and millions of points were earned over the course of the competition. Users of all houses were constantly dueling and brewing potions. Pottermore users have been speculating on Twitter on who the winner would be. When the race clearly turned out to be between Slytherin and Gryffindor, many sided with the snakes because of Gryffindor’s winning streak in the books. They made sure Gryffindor wouldn’t win by either dueling Gryffindor or purposely losing to Slytherin. This made it a very tight race, but in the end, the snakes defeated the lions, and Slytherin won!
In honor of the victory, Pottermore transformed the previously purple Great Hall banners into green. You can see how the Great Hall looks in the picture on the right, above.

Upadate: The Pottermore Insider updated with a new post, congratulating Slytherin and addressing the mysterious “‘secret’ bonus” they promised to the winning house.
Here’s what they had to say:
We are delighted to announce that you can visit the Great Hall to view the award ceremony for the inaugural Pottermore House Cup.
Thank you to all houses for making this such a spirited contest.
We will be congratulating the winner in further detail, here on the Pottermore Insider tomorrow but in the meantime, good luck to all and enjoy the ceremony!
It looks like Slytherin will be receiving their well-earned prize tomorrow. We’ll have the latest of information as soon as it is released, so stay tuned.

Enjoy the festivities!

This is a developing story. We will be continuously updating it throughout the day. Stay tuned to our Twitter, @PottermoreNews7 for all the latest information
