Silver II Division -- Fiora's Legends

So, lately (which in my world means 3 years ago) I started playing League of Legends!

Long story short, I started with an account, hadn't been able to access it for about 6 months, Riot deleted it, and after about another 6 months (or maybe something more) I made a new acc and started from zero. (Well, originally I had only made it to level 12, so it wasn't too big of a loss, thankfully.)

Anyway, I've been to lvl 30 from my new account for quite some time now! But only recently I started playing ranked games! I was too afraid, I guess. And, also I didn't have the 16 champions I had to own! Detail!

So, today, I decided to give it a try and actually play the 3 last games I needed to go from Unranked to... Ranked. And, I did. Get Ranked. Something I'm very happy about!

I am now a Silver II Division!!!

(Sorry for the dark picture, it was the only way to make the writing a bit clearer, as I didn't think of getting a better picture at the time!)

Anyway, the thing is, I'm curious. I happened to have exactly 5 wins and 5 losses in the 10 games before getting to being Ranked. And, I got to Silver II? Isn't it a bit weird or is it just me? Not that I complain, of course. Just wondering, though. If I had 10 wins I would be a Platinum? xP

Well, I'm just gonna enjoy the fact I am one of Fiora's Legends (and actually try not to fall below II, as this is the hard part from now on).

The Sims 4 giveaway hosted by SimsVIP

With the new installment in the Sims games coming up soon, The Sims 4 hype has been increasing with every little detail being known. SimsVIP has hosted a giveaway of TS4 official products, along with Steelseries. If you are interested in learning more about the products or enter this giveaway, leave a comment HERE BY JUNE 27th telling us a little bit about your Sims addiction, and be sure to include your favorite color and Sims game (any series).

This was my entry on the giveaway. Just a small example of my obsession with The Sims series!

My Sims addiction started some time during the previous decade, when I was still in Elementary School, and a leaflet advertising The Sims 2, dropped to my hands. I instantly fell in love with the idea of being able to make my own little human beings and controlling their lives, as well as with the beauty and cleverness of the Sims themselves. Ever since then, I found myself being obsessed with this game! I started playing The Sims 2, and made sure I would get my hands on every single expansion or stuff pack that was released. I could play all day long, all summer long, making up weird plots, involving love triangles and epic love stories, with all the simple, but very interesting routines of every day life. I must admit that I am among the people that found the Sims in The Sims 3 game, a little bit uglier than the previous Sims. Nevertheless, once the TS3 game was released, I never again played TS2. The possibilities were so much more, that one little disadvantage didn't really mean a lot. I have also played all of the expansion packs in the TS3 series, and a lot of the stuff packs, as well. Playing TS3 all these years has been an awesome experience for me, with more and more choices being available with every game! When I heard the rumors of The Sims 4 being released in some point in 2014, I was very excited and intrigued about the content this new game would include. I can say for sure, that by now, with all this information having been revealed about the new detailed and awesome CAS, the emotions, even the look of the game, I'm more than that. Now, I just can't wait for September to come. The moment I get my hands on these new interesting and intelligent Sims, I will be in bliss! It might be a little unfair to make us wish for the summer to end as quickly as possible, though!

My favorite color is plumbob green, so Sim-like!

My favorite Sims game of all time, up until now, is The Sims 2 Supernatural expansion pack! This installment was a dream come true for me! Being able to play with vampires, werewolves, fairies, wizards, ghosts? So many choices, so little time, really! The possible plots reached a whole other level!

The Sims 3: Into the Future

Isn't it a little unfair that I'm gonna have to go away, just when this awesome Expansion Pack comes out. Probably just two days before it's released actually. Yep, I am that unlucky!

Freljord in... Greek

An amazing job by Riot Games! I didn't expect the video to be in Greek, too! I am a fan of Ashe and Avarossan but Lyssandra, oh, Lyssandra, she is awesome, too! Especially in that video!

Build Guides for LoL Champions

So, today, after all these months, I played League of Legends again!
And, realized how out of shape I was. More than before, anyway!
To make the situation better I decided to trust some build guides, in order to play better with my champions! I will provide here some build guides I found while searching for the heroes I've acquired so far.

Here are some build guides about Ashe. And, that's the one I chose to follow!

This is a build guide of Ahri.

This is for Annie.

And, that's a build guide for Alistar.

The battle of Freljord

Choose the tribe with which you'll be fighting!

The Avarosan are those whom are loyal to Queen Ashe. While others war, Ashe works day and night to establish a single alliance throughout the Freljord. Though her methods are peaceful, she is still backed by a powerful and committed army. Champions that have allied themselves with her are: Tryndamere, Anivia, Gragas and Nunu

The Frostguard can also be considered a separate faction from the Avarosan because of their leader, Lissandra. The world has forgotten the terrible enemy that ruled the Freljord long ago and was cast into the depths of the Howling Abyss following a long and brutal battle. And now, while the ignorant sleep, Lissandra plots to return her masters to their former glory. Only the trolls and their king, Trundle have allied themselves with her.

The Winter's Claw tribe is led by the ferocious Sejuani. Sejuani wishes to conquer the Freljord through absolute strength. In her eyes, the Freljord is a place where only the strong deserve to prosper. As she raids, her warriors allow the stalwart to live under her banner while they pillage the weaker tribes, leaving them without the means to sustain themselves. Once her work is done, only the mighty will be left in the Freljord. Champions that have allied themselves with her are: Olaf, Udyr, and Volibear.

The Sims Personality Test

I'm not so sure that these results are absolutely accaurate for me, but I'll probably take the test again (in an earlier time of the day, because currently I'm pretty sleepy) and we'll see.

For now, these are my results, though:

Neat (vs. Sloppy)
Neat, tidy Sims typically enjoy cleaning up the house or grooming themselves in front of a mirror. There's always something to be done around the house and they'll more often than not be found doing it; great for a house, but it can tire Sims out.

With their constant disregard of cleanliness and hygiene, sloppy Sims are content to simply "be." They tend to enjoy just about anything that doesn't require planning or cleaning up on their part.

-- A score of  5

Outgoing (vs. Shy)
Outgoing Sims are likely to jump headfirst into any situation. Charm and confidence are their best traits and when they're in a friendly mood they enjoy group activities most of all. Keep an eye on these characters, though; outgoing Sims can be too brash, and others aren't always so impressed.

Introspective and quiet, shy Sims often think about the world around them and write in their diaries rather than actually interact with anyone. It may be harder to break out of their shells, but if shy Sims take the time to get to know others they'll be delighted by the social world awaiting them.

-- A score of  5

Active (vs. Lazy)
Active Sims are almost always on the move but need a lot of food and sleep to keep up their hectic pace. They're apt to be happiest while breaking a sweat, an exhausting idea to most other Sims. An active Sim will usually get more enjoyment from watching sports on TV than reading a book.

Lazy Sims have been known to veg out on the couch for hours on end, so naturally, they don't need much sleep to sustain their constant lazying. They still enjoy socializing wiht other Sims and can be persuaded to get out of the house once in a while.

-- A score of  4 (more on the side of Lazy, I guess)

Playful (vs. Serious)
Playful Sims are more likely to find entertainment and fun in the world around them; they tend to be more curious than any other Sim. They may have a lighthearted nature, but they can wear themselves out with their antics, as well as get on their fellow Sim's nerves.

Serious, quiet, thoughtful Sims are more inclined to enjoy logic puzzles and good conversation, but they don't respond too well to chaos or silly behavior. Repairing broken items or working on an important project can keep serious Sims content.

 -- A score of  5

Nice (vs. Grouchy)
Encouraging and generous, nice Sims tend to be easy to get along with and very positive. They'll listen to what other Sims have to say whether it's interesting or not and clean up after dirty roommates. If they don't watch out though, other Sims may take advantage of their good nature.

Grouchy Sims, despite their sour mood, can still be social creatures. They'll probably enjoy teasing a Sim as much as telling a joke. They don't seem to mind when other Sims overreact and they like playing a game as much as anyone else, but be warned: they tend to be sore losers.

 -- A score of  5

She decided to never depend on anyone and build her whole life alone, even if her father offered to assist her professionally multiple times. That was mainly the reason why she quit her job as an Intern Healer on St. Mungo's Hospital, where her father also worked, after only three years. Shortly after, she got a job as a Columnist about Magical Creature Care, on Daily Prophet. She is very disciplined and focused on everything she does, which had as a result her being called a workaholic by her colleagues. Herewald Wilfred Hampton, her father, born in 1913, had been an important person in United Kingdom, working as a Healer at St. Mungo's Hospital until his death in 1980. It was there that he met his wife, Irma Porpentia Hampton in 1946. Shortly after Elladora was born. Although she had a happy childhood until the age of 7, in 1955, when her sister Mandy Fleur Hampton (now named Perkins, after her husband) was born. Most of her parents' attention was now concentrated on the new addition of the family, something that left Elladora feeling neglected and abandoned. She dropped the nickname her parents had for her until then, which was "Ella" and never let anyone call her like that again. Her relationship with her sister was never good. After she graduated from Hogwarts and became an adult, she continued on having a cold relationship with her family, although her father offered helped her in her first professional steps. Even after her father's death in 1980 and her mother's in 1982, her bond with her only sister is very weak. Elladora never got married and never even expressed any interest in having children, but she has a soft spot for her youngest niece Demelza Bridget Perkins.

Sample Post: Elladora walked into her office, stopping briefly in front of the glass door to inspect the condition of her hat and hair before closing and walking to her chair. Today she had a difficult case concerning some Merpeople and she wanted to think about the best way to negotiate with them. Totally absorbed in her thoughts, she didn't notice at first the envelope that was sitting on the edge her desk. When she finally took notice of it her eyes shined with happiness at the sight of her youngest niece's handwriting. Demelza never failed to send letters to her, one of the very few things Elladora was grateful for. She decided to put the envelope into her bag, though. She wanted to read it later and in private. Standing up, she brushed away imaginative dust from her skirt and slowly walked back to the door. Elladora was going to have a busy day today.

1995

 A Closer Look at 1995

Our story takes place not too far in the past - only 16 years ago - but as not everyone remembers that far back, we figured we'd provide a bit of a refresher course. While we know this is a fantasy game, we still expect players to keep things moderately realistic when it comes to the time period at hand.

The United Kingdom...
  • The average home cost 68,183 Pounds Sterling.
  • John Major was the Prime Minister.
  • Homosexuals were still not permitted to serve in the military or adopt a child, and one could not legally change their gender. There were no anti-discrimination laws in place for homosexuals in employment or the provision of goods or services.
  • Most firearms are not permitted to be owned or carried off one's own property. Police men use billy clubs instead of firearms.

Around the World...
  • Austria, Finland & Sweden act to join the European Union.
  • Bill Clinton was the president of the United States. (In the wizarding world, this meant a huge leap forward for the Revealing Party.)
  • Despite some forward movement in the western world, Pro-Gay Rights movements and LGBT organizations are still illegal and activists face government opposition in many countries.

Then and Now
  • The most common video format was the VHS Tape.
  • Top Billboard Artists included Boyz II Men, TLC, Ini Kamoze, and Madonna.
  • Compact Discs are beginning to replace Cassette Tapes in popularity.
  • Grunge and Punk fashions increase in popularity, as does the "Rachel" haircut - based on the character from the Friends television show. Flannel is extremely popular, along with wearing hte color black, and sagging, oversized clothing is at an all time high. Blue jeans are the center of the fashion movement.

I was two years old then, but now I'm planning on playing on this time period through Vault 713. How exciting is this?

TS3: Season of Summer

o16

Special Holiday: Leisure Day

Typically, in The Sims, every day is a sunny day. You and your Sims are probably used to clear weather and lots of sunshine. With the introduction of transformative weather effects in The Sims 3 Seasons, now you can play with summer as you never have before – with blisteringly high temperatures and heat waves!
In The Sims 3 Seasons, the temperature of the world can change over the course of the day, transitioning from a cool, brisk morning to a scorcher by noontime. If your Sim is out in the heat for too long, they’ll start to sweat and may even spontaneously combust! But don’t worry, there are plenty of ways to keep cool. Wearing swimwear, holding a parasol, eating an ice cream or just heading indoors are some of the ways you can keep your Sim from overheating. And if you have the new “Immune to Heat” lifetime reward, your Sim can enjoy all the benefits of spending time in the heat without any of the negative side effects!

Speaking of the benefits of being out in the sun, summer is the perfect time to put on some swimwear and get a nice tan. Just be careful, lying under the hot sun for too long will result in a nasty sunburn instead of a bronze glow.

summertime_1

Other option is to spend a few Simoleons on a tan from the spray tan booth. But even the tanning booth isn’t a foolproof way to get an even tan. Results will vary from the successful to the downright hilarious, depending on whether malfunctions or pranking kids are involved.
summertime_2

Your Sims can also cool off by taking a dip in the pool, or better yet, leaping into it off of the brand new diving board! Once in the pool, your Sims can take a leisurely rest on the pool lounger. This floatable cushion of air is not only useful in the pool, but provides a nice way to relax when floating on the waves in the middle of the ocean.

summertime_3

For the first time in The Sims PC/Mac franchise, your Sims can swim in ANY ocean, river or lake that is in the world! For all of you world builders out there, your Sims can swim in the bodies of water you’ve created as well! As long as the ocean, river or lake is not on a residential or community lot, has a gradual slope into the water, and your Sims can walk to the coast, then they can dive right in!

Here is a Sim swimming during a rainy day in the big lake in Twinbrook…

summertime_4

…and a couple enjoying a romantic dip down the river in China.

summertime_5

After spending a day at the beach, head over to the summer festival. Each season has unique activities for your Sim to enjoy. During the summer, your Sims can get their faces painted, practice shooting soccer goals or even participate in a hot dog eating contest!

summertime_5

Your Sims can also make snow cones at the festival and purchase a machine for the home. The standard snow cone stand is great for outdoor parties, and the smaller one can be placed on kitchen counters for a refreshing mid-day treat.

summertime_6

Once the sun goes down, there’s still plenty to do! In addition to new fireworks, we now have firecrackers, including spinners, rockets, smoke bombs and more! Like swimming in the ocean, the firecrackers are also a year-round activity. During the summer, the grocery store will be holding a firecracker sale, so be sure to stock up for the rest of the year.

summertime_7

Since most of the firecrackers are too dangerous for kids to handle, we’ve added another firecracker option that’s safe for nearly all ages: sparklers! They come in two types, white and rainbow.

summertime_8

With tanning, festivals and new activities like swimming in the ocean and playing with fireworks, there’s plenty for your Sim to experience in The Sims 3 Seasons. Stay tuned for more information about the fun you can have with seasons in the newest expansion from The Sims 3!

TS3: Season of Spring

o15

Special Holiday: Love Day

Spring time not only brings blue skies, but, occasional drizzle, fog, heavy showers and even lighting. Although rain can soak your Sims, there are quite a few benefits to having a few wet days. Sims can splash in puddles for a little fun, it can help put out fires in your town or it can water your plants.

Also, no longer will inclement weather prevent your Sims from enjoying the outdoors. For the first time in The Sims franchise, we have umbrellas! With water-proof umbrellas in hand, Sims can walk, chat and even run outside without getting wet. Not only can you change the color and patterns on the umbrella, you can even upgrade them to glow!

In additional to weather, colors also play a large part in seeing the changing seasons. Through the thick of winter snowstorms, spring is welcomed with a fresh burst of color. The trees will start to re-grow their leaves, and you’ll see our new collectable wild flowers sprouting throughout the town. Sims can pick and gather these wildflowers to add an extra pop of color to their homes. Although be warned, they may be susceptible to seasonal allergies. Don’t worry though, a quick trip to the hospital to get an allergy shot will clear your Sims’ symptoms quickly.

To celebrate each season, a festival will arrive to your town! Each festival is unique to the season will transform completely with new objects and decorations throughout the year. Not only will festivals appear in Sunset Valley, but they’ll appear in other worlds too. You can be living it up in The Sims 3 Late Night ’s Bridgeport, or be enjoying the dry heat of The Sims 3 Store’s Lucky Palms while participating in seasonal festivities.

But back to spring. With spring being the season of color, it was fitting to have an egg hunt held at the spring festival. Every day, new eggs are scattered throughout the grounds. Finding these colorful eggs can net your Sims some valuable festival tickets that can then be redeemed for prizes. You might even find some other surprises during your hunt as well!

In The Sims 3 Seasons we created a lot of new ways to meet other Sims. Sims can hold parties, send love letters by mail or even find a date online. Once you’ve found a potential match, the spring festival has plenty of activities for new lovebirds to enjoy. They can skate on the roller rink, test their knowledge of one another on the lover tester machine, dance and compete for the title of Spring King and Queen or challenge each other to a round of horseshoes.

Or if your Sim is alone (or willing to sneak a peck), they can ask for a kiss at the kissing booth. Your Sim can also work a kissing booth too! If you see an open, unmanned booth, you can send your Sims to offer kisses of their own. With a little charm and appeal, your Sims may make a few Simoleons stealing a few smooches.

The Sims 3: Seasons

Two months after the release of TS3: Supernatural, a new expansion pack will be provided to the gamers around the world. So, on November 13th, our Sims will be able to enjoy Seasons, just like the old good times, when we were still so obsessed with The Sims 2.

This particular installation in The Sims series will be more advanced that anything we had seen previously. Of course, some effects will remain, just like the Snowfalls.

Some of the things that made me want this pack right now were that:

♦ Seasons are 7 days by default, but can be changed to anywhere between 3-28 days.

♦ Seasons and weather are completely controllable.

♦ Seasons and types of weather aren’t controlled per-world, they’re controlled per-save file. That way you can customize each world you play in to behave exactly the way you want it to.

♦ You’ll be able to see the temperature in-game via the HUD. For our fans around the world, you can select the temperature to display in Fahrenheit or Celsius!

♦ Days are longer in the summer, and shorter in the winter.

♦ Clouds will gather and darken before a heavy storm

♦ Weather will transition gradually.

♦ Heatwaves do occur

♦ The visual fidelity of weather is one of the things that will change with advanced rendering off, yes. The appearance of the weather scales to accommodate various hardware configurations.

♦ Snow and Rain will gather on roadways. Cars will not slip off the road.

Supernatural Obsession

I remember back when I first found out that The Sims 2: Pets (yep, I'm a very old SimLover) was going to be released,  it was like a dream coming true!
I felt like everything was complete about the game.

I could control my Sims' lives, and make them all they could probably be, but something was missing. That was the animals.
Growing up, I always wanted a pet, and that wish was no different for my Sims' lives.

Of course, after the release, and many many years later, after the release of The Sims 3: Pets, I find it quite common for my Sims to have pets, and many kinds of animals. Sometimes I even find it irritating.

So, I've found something else to obsess over. What's that? Of course, The Sims 3: Supernatural!
Now I realize that this expansion is something more than just a dream coming true!

I never even had dared to think that my Sims could turn into Werewolves!

I've been used to the idea of Ghosts, Vampires and Witches by other The Sims installations.
But, Fairies and Zombies? And, Genies, if the rumors are correct?
Wow!

I'm so excited, I just can't wait for September to come. Ugh. And it's summer!
On the bright side, I wouldn't be able to play much before September, even if it was released now, so it's ok for me!

I have even read the same things about new features over and over again!
Today I found this article on http://simsvip.com/?p=11803. I'm swooning...

And here's my S3 Supernatural collage:

  • Hunting (Werewolves)

New traits
  • Supernatural Skeptic - Sims who possess this trait dislike anything that has to do with the supernatural. They prefer things that aren't too different from their current understanding and will go to great lengths to let supernatural Sims know how they feel.
  • Supernatural Fan (the opposite of Supernatural Skeptic trait)

New lifetime wishes
  • Master of Dark Magic (Witches)
  • Master of Light Magic (Witches)
  • Ultimate Trickster (Fairies)
  • Leader of the Pack (Werewolves)

New lifetime rewards
  • Alpha Wolf (Werewolves)- It gives you a terrifying howl and the ability to bite anyone without being rejected.

Others
  • Lunar Cycles - The newest gameplay feature is the Lunar Cycle and its effects on Sims in The Sims 3 Supernatural. Players will notice strange happenings, enchanted transformations and effects on magical potency as the moon changes its phases. The new Moon Dial object keeps track of the lunar cycle, and is important if one of your werewolf Sims happens to be on a date. You can also customize the lunar cycle in order to control its duration.
Not only Supernaturals are affected but normal Sims can also be affected. For example, a normal Sim may get the Lunacy Buff, which will cause them to act slightly odd and perhaps perform a Lunatic Slap or Lunatic Embrace with another Sim or he will freak out.[3]
The lunar cycle supports every town.

  • Lighting in the game is tweaked to enhance atmosphere (only on Moonlight Falls)
  • Able to create ghosts by magic
  • Ability to control the number of supernatural and celebrities[TS3:LN] in a town through a new setting known as "Population Control Settings".[3] It can be found on the Options panel.
  • Players with The Sims 3: Pets can also control the number of pets but not unicorns[5]
  • There are only checkboxes and not sliders.[5]
  • Players can also have these settings without Supernatural but they must have any expansion pack which has lifestate(s) or Sim types installed.[5]
  • It is made available on a game update.[5]
  • Magical items like the Voodoo Doll and Spellbook from The Sims 3 Store will be enhanced with Supernatural. This was confirmed by a SimGuru on the forums.[citation needed]
  • Supernaturals will be able to Simport[TS3:ST], but in order for your friends to see them perform in their supernatural form, they will need to have Supernatural installed.
  • Supernaturals can 'protect' non-occult Sims. Protected Sims can call their protectors and will feel safer in the company of their protector.

Oh. My. Gosh.

The Sims 3 Supernatural

  • Παίξτε ως υπερφυσικοί Sims: Δημιουργήστε μάγισσες, μάγους, λυκάνθρωπους, μυστηριώδη βαμπίρ και νεράιδες, που θα διαθέτουν τις δικές τους μαγικές ιδιότητες, τα δικά τους χαρακτηριστικά και τις δικές τους αλληλεπιδράσεις. Εξερευνήστε την πόλη του Moonlight Falls: Ανακαλύψτε τα μυστήρια και τις δυνατότητες που αποκαλύπτει το φως της πανσελήνου. Οι Sims σας θα φρικάρουν ή θα γίνουν ισχυρότεροι;
